We don’t know about you, but we’re feeling 2022! It’s hard to believe that we are already closing the door on 2021 and stepping into 2022! As the clock counts down this New Year’s Eve, it is the perfect time to reflect on 2021- but first, we hope that you remembered to grab the ThunderShirt before the fireworks. If not- run to your nearest pet store and grab one before the big booms go off on December 31st.

Now that man’s best friend is ready for the celebration, let’s look forward to the year ahead! The time is now to set those new year’s resolutions and lucky for you, we have put together a list of New Year’s resolutions that are perfect for you and your dog!

It’s Never too Late to Get Active

With 2021 being the first year a lot of us have spent the holidays with family since 2019, chances are you may have had a few extra slices of Grandma’s pie to make up for lost time. That’s why we are kicking off our list with one of the most popular resolutions around, getting active!

2022 is a great time for you all to get moving TOGETHER!  We recommend you get a new workout outfit, and a fun new leash to motivate yourself!

We have several great leash options.

If your dog gets over-excited on walks and tends to pull, you should try out our simple no-pull leash.  The ThunderLeash converts from a standard leash to a no-pull leash in seconds.

If your biggest struggle is actually getting the leash connected to your dog, you will absolutely love the ThunderSnap.  With its patented design, the ThunderSnap uses powerful magnets and a ball-bearing latch mechanism to quickly and securely attach to any collar.

If you love the freedom of a retractable leash, but would like a few added safety features, the Dial-a-Distance is for you! It is the safest retractable dog leash that automatically brakes at the length you set, ranging from 0-15 feet!

Relax a Little More

Relax More with ThunderEase

It is no secret that getting enough rest and relaxation is extremely important to overall good health.  So in addition to moving more and eating healthier, getting more sleep should be at the top of your list if you want to focus on your health this year!

If your furry friends are keeping you up at night, it may be due to their anxieties! This is where ThunderEase can help. By mimicking the calming pheromone that a mother dog releases while nursing her puppies, ThunderEase helps your dog to feel calmer, more secure, and more comfortable. ThunderEase comes in a variety of application forms but we recommend spraying your pup’s kennel or dog bed so they feel more comfortable there and will hopefully sleep through the night, doing the both of you some good!

Focus On Your and Your Pet’s Health

While some of us feel anxious heading to the doctor, it is very important to go in for preventative care visits both for you and your pet.  That way you can catch an issue before it is a big deal. Our pets rely on us for all things so we need to do our best to stay healthy for them.

If one of the main reasons you don't take your pet to the vet for preventative care is because the travel / vet makes them anxious, we can help!

We recommend trying the ThunderShirt - it is a calming wrap that has helped millions of dogs and cats feel less anxious.  It applies gentle, constant pressure around your pet's torso, and helps them to feel calmer.  Our customers love to use the ThunderShirt for their dogs and cats that have both travel anxiety, and anxiety when going to the vet.

Each ThunderShirt comes with a convenient patch where you can spray ThunderEase calming spray directly on the ThunderShirt.  You can also use the calming spray in your travel crate to help your pet feel calmer.

"I use this for my cat because he has extreme travel anxiety and vet anxiety - it worked great!!" - Sarah W.

"Our dog Baily goes crazy in the car and at the vet.  We tried the ThunderShirt and she was soooo calm - I had to keep checking we had the right dog!" - Lisa C

Play Hard and Smell the Flowers

new year's resolution enjoy the moment

One of the biggest things our pets can teach us is how important it is to have fun! Getting out of the house can reduce stress levels and can actually improve the bond between your and your pet. This doesn’t just have to be centered around exercise though, there are many pet friendly establishments across the country where your dog can join you and your friends while you catch up!

Even More Snugs

more cuddles in the new year

So maybe one of our pets helped write this section (looking at you Tater Tot), but more time cuddling is always a good idea!  We wish the very best for you and your pets in this new year.  As always, we would love to see you taking on these new adventures in the New Year!
