It is hard to believe that we finally made it through 2020.  The beginning of the year is always a great time to reflect, recharge, and think about what you'd like to accomplish in the next year.  We've put together a few New Year's resolution ideas that you and your pet can work on together!

1) Work off those quarantine pounds together...

Word on the street is that us humans aren't the only ones who have put on a few quarantine pounds.... :).  While it may seem like you went for more walks, there was also ample time at home to reward your dog for being such a good girl / boy with lots of treats, and snuggles on the couch.

2021 is a great time for you all to get moving TOGETHER!  We recommend you get a new workout outfit, and a fun new leash to motivate yourself!

We have several great leash options.

If your dog gets over excited on walks and tends to pull, you should try out our simple no-pull leash.  The ThunderLeash converts from a standard leash to a no-pull leash in seconds.

If your biggest struggle is actually getting the leash connected to your dog, you will absolutely love the ThunderSnap.  With its patented design, the ThunderSnap uses powerful magnets and a ball-bearing latch mechanism to quickly and securely attach to any collar.

If you love the freedom of a retractable leash, but would like a few added safety features, the Dial-a-Distance is for you! It is the safest retractable dog leash that automatically brakes at the length you set, ranging from 0-15 feet!

 2) Get More Sleep!

It is no secret that getting enough sleep is extremely important to overall good health.  So in addition to moving more and eating healthier, getting more sleep should be at the top of your list if you want to focus on your health this year!

If part of your issue is getting to sleep, we have a solution both you and your pup will love!  The ThunderCloud is both a soothing sound machine and an essential oils diffuser.  The sound machine features 16 sounds (my puppy and I love the crickets!), and also provides calming aromatherapy by diffusing dog safe essential oils!

Warning: you might feel so relaxed you don't want to get out of bed.

 3) Go to the Doctor / Vet for Preventative Care

While some of us feel anxious heading to the doctor, it is very important to go in for preventative care visits both for you and your pet.  That way you can catch an issue before it is a big deal.

If one of the main reasons you don't take your pet to the vet for preventative care is because the travel / vet makes them anxious, we can help!

We recommend trying the ThunderShirt - it is a calming wrap that has helped millions of dogs and cats feel less anxious.  It applies gentle, constant pressure around your pet's torso, and helps them to feel calmer.  Our customers love to use the ThunderShirt for their dogs and cats that have both travel anxiety, and anxiety when going to the vet.

Each ThunderShirt comes with a convenient patch where you can spray ThunderEase calming spray directly on the shirt.  You can also use the calming spray in your travel crate to help your pet feel calmer.

"I use this for my cat because he has extreme travel anxiety and vet anxiety - it worked great!!" - Sarah W.

"Our dog Baily goes crazy in the car and at the vet.  We tried the ThunderShirt and she was soooo calm - I had to keep checking we had the right dog!" - Lisa C

4) Even MORE Snuggles

Ok, Tater Tot took over the keyboard for that one, but more time cuddling is always a good idea!  We wish the very best for you and your pets in this new year.  As always, if there is anything we can do to help, we would love to do so!  Email us at service@thundershirt.com or call 866-892-2078.
