The Safety You Need and the Freedom You Want in a Leash!

Dial-a-Distance is the safest retractable dog leash that automatically brakes at the maximum length YOU set!

Retractable leashes are great for giving your dog more exercise and freedom on walks, and minimizing leash tangling. But if you are distracted for even a moment, your pup may lunge into danger before you can get your thumb on the manual brake. Dial-A-Distance eliminates those risks, allowing you to stop worrying and enjoy the walk with your dog.

Within the maximum length that YOU select, Dial-A-Distance works just like other retractable leashes. It extends and retracts as your dog moves around and you can always use the manual brake when needed to stop short of the maximum length. But when your dog reaches the maximum length you selected, Dial-A-Distance automatically brakes.

Please refer to our Dial-A-Distance instruction sheet for additional details.

  • All the Benefits of a Retractable Leash, Minus the Dangers!
  • Dial-A-Distance will Automatically Brake at the Max Length You Select, from 0 to 15 Feet
  • Quickly and Easily Adjusts with the Turn of a Dial
  • Lightweight, Compact, Smooth, Strong and Durable
  • Now rated for dogs up to 70 lbs (packaging may say 55 lbs)

Love this leash

I use this leash with both my dogs. We walk in a mixture of areas, some with sidewalks, some without, and sometimes we are hiking in state forest. Being able to adjust the length while walking makes life so much easier. To avoid the issue of having the have the leash fully retracted (and at the dogks collar) to change the distance, I bought a short leash extender. This way I am not trying to hold the dog’s harness AND adjust the leash.

Extremely frustrating and failure prone

I have been having lots of difficulty with this leash. Every time it reaches the set limit it locks up and does not retract anymore. I then have to press the dial in every time to have it retract each time I use it I lose confidence in it reliability I bought this leash specifically for, the adjustable setting, but the way that it operates makes it impossible to use.

I'll always buy these

These are perfect for off leash training! You can set the distance for the command and these keep you from missing a correction. It keeps the leash from getting tangled in the dogs feet and gives you a hard handle to hold or clip to you. But you can also give them more space when you're in an appropriate area for that. Best of both worlds! Only downside is after using them a while if the dog does hit the end hard for some reason the ribbon jumps the spool. The gap into the handle is just a hair too wide and allows it to get off track. These are my 6th and 7th ones and I've repaired my previous ones a few times each. But, I have a lot of dogs, go on long hikes far more than average (rain, mud, sometimes snow), and frequently help friends with training. They take a lot of abuse. If they weren't worth it I wouldn't keep buying them!
